So the man in-charge of one of the most famous and popular social media platform, where millions of people come together and state whats on there minds, Twitter has had another prominent personality see his account get hacked. Who that important personality is will surprise. It is non other than the CEO of Twitter Jack Dorsey who has seen his account get hacked from a group referring to itself as the Chuckling Squad who have taken responsibility for hacking the account of the famous owner.
Moreover, Jack Dorsey is also one of the most popular personalities on Twitter as he currently has over 4 million followers. Moreover the Chuckling Squad got in to his account and used it to tweet a series of highly offensive and racist remarks for about 15 minutes. In a response to the event, the folks at Twitter have stated that there own systems were never compromised but rather they blamed it on an unnamed mobile operator. Representatives of Twitter added that: “The phone number associated with the account was compromised due to a security oversight by the mobile provider,This allowed an unauthorised person to compose and send tweets via text message from the phone number. That issue is now resolved.”

Moreover,in term of what the hackers posted, they were some very racist and offensive messages some of the tweets were directly posted by the owners, @jack account, and other accounts were used to retweet those remarks the comments were very Nazi as they made anti-Semitic comments referencing the Holocaust. What was probably the most surprising and horrific tweet was probably the one in which it was stated that a there was a bomb at the social media company’s headquarters creating unrest and horror amongst the community of Twitter and other groups.
In addition to that,a chat channel on Discord which is a separate social networking website, was apparently set up by the group to discuss and joke about the cyber attack conducted by the Chucking Squad but quite like Twitter this was also quickly shut down. Moreover,it is worth noting here that the group who took responsibility for the attack, the Chuckling Squad have in the past taken credit for a number of attacks on high-profile Twitter accounts recently and there attack portfolio consists of beauty vlogger James Charles and an account belonging to YouTube personality Desmond Amofah, known as @Etika, who died earlier this year in what is believed to be a case of suicide.
This attack is very surprising in a number of ways, one of which is the fact that the account of the person who currently runs one of the most powerful social media engines in the world got hacked, which begs the question that, if even he is not safe, then who is?
