In order to improve the process of pilgrimage by taking challenges related to food, beverage, transportation and stay, the Saudi Federation has announced the Hajj Hackathon for the leading programmers and experts from the tech industry all around the world.
The Saudi executives of Cybersecurity, programming, and drones has announced that registrations for Hajj Hackathon are now open for everyone.
The Hackathon will be held in Jeddah in August and it is being expecting that 3000 developers will be registering for this challenge.
The objective behind this Hajj Hackathon is to invite techies from all over the world to leverage technology and innovation for improving the experience of pilgrims during Hajj.
Moreover, there will be prizes for the top three winners. They will get free opportunity to go to the Google IO Developers Conference happening next year and RiseUp Summit happening this year.

In addition, the winners will be awarded by Google Home Mini with Google Assitant built in and Google Cloud credit. The teams who make up to top ten will get Google Home Mini with Google Assitant built in and teams in Top 20 will get Google cloud credit.
The winner of this contest will get a grand prize of 100,000 SAR for 15% equity investment. The runner-up will be given 500,000 SAR for 10% equity investment. And the 2ND runner-up will get 350,000 SAR for 7 % equity investment.

Hajj Hackathon will take place at Jeddah International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The webinar will take place on July 31st and the Hackathon will start on August 1st and will conclude on August 3rd.
