Education is the discipline of life, but what if this disciple is not according to rules and regulations. As recently Higher Education Department banned 18 Private universities from Punjab due to not meeting the criteria given by it.
The action was taken because certain universities started offering some programs without fulfilling the necessary requirements of HED.
According to recent reports, the Higher Education Department (HED) of Punjab has banned some faculties in 18 degree awarding institutes from Punjab, requesting the universities to stop admissions in these degrees.
As per statements of the HED, these universities were operating their sub-campuses and offering certain programs without approvals from the concerned authorities.
Reportedly, these universities are under strict restriction by HED which asked them to fulfill the desired requirements and get their unapproved programs and sub-campuses registered before the deadline, 26th September 2017.
