So when the concept of the Google+ platform was launched by the company, Google was probably hoping for a good response from the consumers and would have loved to see their social networking concept to be a hit and to well flourish like its many rivals in the industry such as Facebook and Twitter but it wasn’t meant to be for the company. Now lets us be clear, the whole idea of ending the platform was on the books for some time now and now the major company that has had so many sucessful ventures is finally ready to let go of one unsuccessful one, Yes Google has officially announced that it will shut down Google+ on April 2.

On the above mentioned date, Google will start the removal of all of the content that users have on the Google+ platform, including photos, videos, pages and anything else on the site. If you have been one of the few users of Google+ on the face of the earth, you should probably start backing up and downloading all of your data before it’s too little too late for you.Now, there are companies that have been using Google+, and they will continue to do so after this development as well since Google is merely shutting down the consumer version. Additionally, all Google+ APIs will be vanquished as well on March 7.Google+ has been one of the very few unsuccessful ventures that Google began and was probably their most unpopular platform in this lifetime. One of the major reasons for the downfall of theplatform was probably all of the major flaws in the development of the platform, one such flaw was the bug that was allowing third-parties to access user data such as full names, email addresses, gender data and profile pictures since 2015 until Google finally got around to dealing with it in March 2018, Now imagine what people would have felt like after knowing that their data was up for grabs for the last three years, for the relative third parties.Now if this wasn’t bad enough, the fact that Google decided not to inform the public about it was simply immoral and unjust. Moreover people got to know about the major vulnerabilitiesin the stature of Google+.Henceforth, Google have finally decided to put an end to the platform and lets see whether or not the company comes up with a suitable replacement or possible substitute for the platform.
