Google+ reign comes to an end

So Google is one enterprise which has gained a lot of prestige for creating the first ever fully modified search engine, which gave users access to so much information all by simply typing in your query. Over the years Google have also come forward with some interesting platforms and products, while many of them went on and become successful, there are always exceptions.

Google had revealed earlier that they would stop operations of the social media network Google+. According to Google, the social media platform was not able to make an impact against its fierce rivals, Facebook and Twitter in the digital landscape, Google said that it would phase out the social media gradually. In February, Google stopped users from having the option of creating new accounts on the platform. Now, today Google have begun deleting all the accounts left on Google+ network.“On April 2nd, your Google+ account and any Google+ pages you created will be shut down and we will begin deleting content from consumer Google+ accounts,” said a spokesperson from Google.

Moreover, this platform was launched back in 2011, by the US enterprise. The aims of the project was to providefirm competition to widely popularizing social media platforms such as the likes of  Twitter and Facebook, however the company failed miserably. Google used the platform to introduce several new products, some of which were able to make quite a impact, these include the likes of, Google Photos and Google Hangouts. Things simply did not go as to the plans of Google+. Now we know that therewere a lot of accounts on the platform, however it was found that the users were not indulged in any activity directly on the platform, rather there accounts were just left by the users to rot. Google later announced that it would kill the platform. The decision was also primarily moved by a couple of security flaws which were found on the platform.In recent times a bug had disclosed data of over 500,000  users on the platform,
