Google is trying to demote pirate site from its platform for rather some time. The Corporation is updating its policy every now then. On the other hand, in a bid to twice its efforts to downplay pirate site this time the update which the company made has gone somewhat incorrect and is showing weird results; as when one search for genuine sites, the search result is also screening famous pirates’ websites such as Pirate Bay next to legitimate sites.
Similarly, if one search for legitimate streaming sites such as Netflix, the search result will also demonstrate illegally copy sites like Alluc and Putlocker along with it. It is harmless to suppose that this is accidental and the tech giant is looking into the issue as according to the corporation, they are still operating on the update and is gazing into the matter.
“These results are produced algorithmically, but in this special case of pirate sites, do not imitate what we had in intellect for this feature, and we are looking into it”.
Google spokesperson said while talking to Engadget.
Jon Fingas Tech journalist also said, “The internet giant still has a number of works to do in hostility bootleggers”.
Moving forward, the tech giant is also planning to release redesigned OS for touchscreen Chromebooks, letting users employ Chromebooks with much simplicity. In addition, Google has just rolled out an update for its users, facilitating them to make things in virtual reality (VR). The update is, in essence, an app called as “Blocks”.
