Google AMP-based web standards getting pushed to allow instant loading. In a bid to provide its users instant loading, Google is set to apply its learned lessons and speed benefits from AMP to the rest of the web with the new standards, Google AMP team has announced yesterday that it is working on alongside encouraging new web standards that will be allowing instant loading for non-AMP web content.
Google’s Accelerated Mobile Pages was launched back in 2016 and have made their way throughout the platform’s various web-facing products and services as well and this resulted in faster experiences that helped Google proceed with.
Google has stated in a blog post,
“Based on what we learned from Accelerated Mobile Pages, we now feel ready to take the next step and work to support more instant-loading content not based on Accelerated Mobile Pages technology in areas of Google Search designed for this, like the Top Stories carousel”.
No doubt a range of the new web standards is required to work upon the announcement made yesterday. And Google is well aware that new web standards are required with multiple inspired by AMP that is already being proposed.
According to the sources, the search giant Google has posted a new page that will be responsible for keeping track of in-development standards and features that are related to Accelerated Mobile Pages.

What are the Standards in the critical path:
Some of the proposed standards set by Google in the critical path does include,
(1) Feature Policy
(2) Web Packaging
(3) iframe promotion
(4) Performance Timeline
(5) Paint Timing
Well the above mentioned are not all the standards as we already said the above mentioned are included in the proposed standards.
Point to be noted is that this new AMP-like content also has to meet a set of performance as well as user experience criteria.
However, the giant Google believes that the technology required for Accelerated Mobile Pages is at a point where it can be extended to the other forms of web content with the similar performance.
Google has also noted that the platform will have to invest heavily in AMP and it will also continue to heavily invest to maintain its various open source aspects. For an instance, Google is heavily working on the Accelerated Mobile Pages Stories format for publishers, and dynamic email messages as well.
So let us wait and see how these AMP based web standards work and do they really provide instant loading? Only time will tell the truth.
