PTCL has launched an awareness campaign on Network Transformation Project (NTP), whereby informing its customers about the upgraded exchanges that have gone live across Pakistan. The project aims to deliver superior internet experience to their customers through a new network.
In this regard, PTCL hosted a bloggers meetup at the X2 Café, Lahore on Friday, 9th November 2018 to share the success story of their ongoing Network Transformation Project (NTP).
PTCL Executive Vice President, Syed Shahzad Shah, led this meetup along with PTCL General Manager Corporate Communication, Fariha Tahir Shah, where they shared the transformation process in various exchanges within PTCL’s network to provide customers with a reliable, high-speed unlimited internet.

The bloggers were provided with a detailed briefing on the project, including facts & figures on the availability of high-speed internet in these exchanges, ensuring a faster connection and positive experience for its users.
At the meetup, Shahzad Shah, EVP, PTCL, said, “Being a massive transformation effort from PTCL, NTP is an ongoing project under which 100 major exchanges across the country are being transformed. Currently, 53 out of 100 exchanges have already been upgraded in 12 cities; Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Kharian, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi and Sialkot.”
He further explained that by using Google Display Networks (GDN) and Geofencing, PTCL has earmarked the areas of various exchanges, which have been transformed and residents of these exchanges can easily find out if they fall under the new network/ upgraded exchanges.

PTCL has installed 300,000 high-quality new equipment for customer premises nationwide, which offers ultra-high data rates of up to 100 Mbps. Moreover, 16 users can connect to these high-quality modems at the same time through their Wi-Fi. It has been visibly noted that the complaint rate has been reduced by 30% in the transformed exchanges.
Fariha Tahir Shah also commented that it is imperative to give priority to the end customer and provide superior services for higher satisfaction. The significance of this project is immense as it shows that PTCL cares for its customers and will help in customer retention and acquisitions as well as improving overall network quality.
