Samsung weren’t the happiest country in the world when its rush to get the Galaxy Fold to market ahead of the Mate X and establish market dominance before the Mate X hit the market backfired. The company sent review units to bloggers and youtube channels to take a look at the Galaxy Fold and yes the initial review was that the device is a practical genius and opens a world to a lot of new possibilities. However, it all went south went the folding crease started disrupting the device experience, or worse the problem with the display as it started to black out. None of this was good news for Samsung who was hoping to start shipping out the device to the countless pre orders by people regardless of the massive $2000 asking price. Samsung had to delay the Fold for an indefinite period of time and this meant that the technology wasn’t ready for everyday use of such devices but people had taken a quick peek at the device and since they had seen how useful the device would be, everybody got excited in waiting for the devices to reappear because this is definitely going to be the next big thing!

According to SamMobile Samsung’s display Vice President Kim Seong-Cheol reportedly made an announcement at a ‘Korean Information Display Society’ event where he said:
“Most of the display problems have been ironed out, and the Galaxy Fold is ready to hit the market. The Galaxy Fold, when released will receive a lot of attention in the market”, he added.
This will give a lot of people renewed hope and since the Mate X, Huawei’s foldable smartphone has been delayed until further notice, this might just be the start of a second chance for Samsung to make sure that the Galaxy Fold convinces people of being the better of the two options.
