Geeta Kapoor is no more with us. The Bollywood actress in old age home where she was brought by Ramesh Taurani and her friend Ashoke Pandit after her daughter and son abandoned her in 2017.
Geta Kapoor was Veteran Bollywood actor who passed away in 26th of May 2018. The 67 year old actress had been living in the old age home after she was reportedly abandoned by her Choreographer son and airhostess daughter last year.
Geeta was famous for her role in the classic film “Pakeezah”. She acted in around 100 films. She did a lot if supporting roles as well as prominent ones. Her prominent are memorable in movies such as Kamal Amrohi’s “Pakeezah” and “Razia Sultan”.
Ramesh Taurani and Ashoke Pandit had been taking care of her, paying for her medical bills after her children son Raja and daughter Pooja abandoned.

The actress was abandoned by her children on the month of May in 2017 at the SRV Hospital, Goregaon. Later in the actress got shifted by Ashoke and Ramesh to the Jeevan Asha Old Age Home. Jevan Asha Old age home is run by the Society of Helpers of Mary in Andheri West.
While talking about her death, Ashoke stated that she had been waiting for her kids but after waiting, she finally passed away on Saturday.
Ashoke also added that Geeta Kapoor wanted to see her children one last time but they never came to visit their mother. He added that “Her body will be kept at Cooper Hospital, Vile Parle for two days hoping for her children to come and at least do the last rites for their mother.
In case her children are not present to bid her last farewell, Ashoke says that, “we will do our best to bid her a dignified goodbye,”.
