The major South-Korean company Samsung kicked up things a notchin race to launch a foldable phone when the company announced the Galaxy Fold during the Galaxy unpacking event which took place in the previous month. The new Galaxy Fold will be released in several markets all over the world in the coming few days and well it was revealed last week that the Galaxy Fold for the international market, like Europe and North America will not be having a built-inExynos chipset but instead, the phone will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset.
In addition, details have emerged to confirm this news, it is revealed thatthe Galaxy Fold firmware was analyzed, where it was found that the firmware was quite similar to the CPU on the North American version of the Galaxy S10. Moreover, this analysis was done by folksdown at XDA-Developers who overtook a thorough analysis of the combination firmware for the International model of the Galaxy Fold (SM-F900F) and found a reference to SM8150 which is the model name by which the Snapdragon 855 is also known as.

It shouldalso be noted that the device was initially announced with an Exynos 9820 CPU and this discovery seems to have confirmed earlier rumorsand leaks that suggested that the Galaxy Fold will be coming in two models, one model will be the LTE version and the other will be capable of running 5G as well. Since the Snapdragon 855 had built in 5G capability, it will be in the 5G category and whenever 5G launches, users will be able to use it fully. In addition to hitting Europe, earlier rumors have also suggestedthat the 5G version will also be released in Samsung’s home country of South Korea.
