Apple will provide free Smart Keyboard repairs for three years because of ‘functional issues’. On the extended service program, MacRumors and 9to5Mac reported that, For its Smart Keyboard iPad accessory, Apple is going to repair costs for longer than the one year warranty, which looks typical now. Now the products will be free for up to 3 years. It is being said that company has discovered that some of these keyboards “may experience fun issues during use”.
Apple runs through a handful of potential defects as in an internal memo which is sent to its authorized repair providers and retail stores, some units have been exhibited. Stuck keys ( and repeating keystrokes ), unresponsive keys, and problems connecting to the iPad via the smart connector of the table are included in those units.
Versions
The Smart Keyboards are available in 12.9 inches and 9.7-inch versions. Both the versions correspond with the two current iPad Pro sizes.
Retails
$15 is the retail price of 9.7-inch version. And 12.9 inch is available in $170.
It’s apple’s tradition to extend the timeframe to conduct free repairs when the hardware issue is discovered affecting one of its products.
