It’s not everyday that you see an image of the Black hole being circulated around the internet. Talking about everyday, it has happened NEVER! For a very long-time science fiction movies have tried to create the sensation through awe-inspiring visuals and amazing CGI but no one had ever viewed one until now. The picture was a landmark in the history of space exploration and now confirms that there is a way to exit our galaxy.
This wasn’t like going near the black hole and taking a photo, it take huge complicated calculations which could have been solved and done by the best of the best with extreme passion. It wasn’t the work of one team but rather took a huge number of satellites across the globe, in other words, making Earth a satellite and then taking a picture.

The image shows a dark disc “outlined by emission from hot gas swirling around it under the influence of strong gravity near its event horizon,” the consortium said.”As an astrophysicist, this is a thrilling day for me,” said National Science Foundation Director France A. Cordova. The enormous black hole is some 55 million light-years from Earth in the Virgo galaxy cluster, with a mass some 6.5 billion times that of our sun.”We are delighted to be able to report to you today that we have seen what we thought was unseeable. We have seen and taken a picture of a black hole,” said EHT Director Shep Doeleman of Harvard University.
“You have probably seen many, many images of black holes before,” said Heino Falcke, a professor in the Netherlands who chairs the EHT Science Council. “But they were all simulations or animations. And this [image] is precious to all of us, because this one is finally real.”
This not only bears fruit for all the space explorers who have spent their entire lives in proving such phenomenon, but also represents a major step forward as humans have now confirmed their existence and could potentially lead to massive breakthroughs in the field of space travel and finding alternate sources of life.
