Topsun motors officially launched its electric vehicles in Pakistan. Pakistani government is in the process of implementing its first National Electric Vehicle Policy (NEVP). The company has now launched its first ever electric vehicle line in the country with the collaboration of China.
Punjab’s Provincial Minister for housing, urban development and public health engineering, Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed inaugurated the first showroom (Topsun MR motors) of the company in Lahore.
In its first phase, the company has launched four different models. The models came with different price tags with its base model starting with 1.5 million. Initially, a hatchback model is introduced with three JMC models. The base model Z100 will have 1000cc engine with an electric battery, which ranges 300 km.

Initially company is launching the following variants:
Zotye Z100 1,490,000
JMC Single Cabin 2,950,000
JMC Double Cabin 3,950,000
JMC Vigus 2.4-litre 5,015,000
The Z100 would come soon with 1000cc engine along with 300 km range battery and 5 speed manual transmission. The company is hoping to launch the automatic variant of the car in its next phase. The cars are being imported for now, but later the company will manufacture the vehicles domestically.
The pricing of the vehicles will become more clear after the implementation of the NEVP. For now, the cars are inclusive of withholding taxes, as they are engine based. Z100 is already launched in international market. After NEVP the car will make further inroads in Pakistan.
The car can travel up to 300 km after one charge and the price is expected to be 1.9 to 2 million. However, after the NEVP the prices might go down.
