So as many DC comics fans would know that a standalone Joker film has been planned for some time now and as we near the release date, viewers should know that a final trailer for Todd Phillips upcoming film, Joker has arrived and in the trailer we get to see the dark and terrifying role of the legendary Batman villain as we see what it took, for a man to embrace the persona of the Joker.
Moreover, according to the description provided to viewers by the Warner Bros. The description says that , “Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck, who is indelibly portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix, is of a man struggling to find his way in Gotham’s fractured society. A clown-for-hire by day, he aspires to be a stand-up comic at night… but finds the joke always seems to be on him. Caught in a cyclical existence between apathy and cruelty, Arthur makes one bad decision that brings about a chain reaction of escalating events in this gritty character study.”
In addition to the iconic role being played by renouned actor Joaquin Phoenix,we also get to see the famous, Gotham City being rioted by a number of clowns, possibly as a sign of taking a stand against the morals of society and the hold society has on people.

Another highlight feature of the trailer was probably the induction of Bruce Wayne’s father, Thomas Wayne who is played by Brett Cullen, as we get to see the story from the side of the father of one of the most popular heroes the comic world has ever seen, Batman. So as most of you know,in the original an pretty much every Batman comic that has followed, it is the tragic death of Thomas Wayne and his wife Martha which is marked as the story climax incident which in turn leads Bruce Wayne to be a beacon of hope for the people of Gotham as Batman takes an oath to fight crime as a masked vigilante.
In this movie, pre Batman events are set to occur and the father of the iconic Bat vigilante is alive in the movie. By the evidence seen so far,it is pretty clear that Batman won’t feature in the film, however it’s possible the film could offer yet another take on the Wayne parents’ much-portrayed deaths in Crime Alley, so you never know, we may just see a glimpse of Batman in the end or possibly in a sequel to this movie.
