Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) summons Meesha Shafi in a case regarding the harassment. FIA is investigating on the case filed by the Ali Zafar to claim damages that Shafi had caused to his reputation after she accused Ali Zafar of harassment.
Meesha Shafi accused Ali Zafar of harassment and filed a lawsuit against him. The case dragged on for several months. Ali rebuffed all her claims and maintained that she is spreading false claims and propaganda against him. Meesha Shafi launched a twitter campaign against Ali Zafar afterwards. The whole saga turned bitter with time dragging them to court. Now FIA is involved and investigating the incident.
Ali Zafar filed a complaint in FIA to reclaim the damages that has done to his reputation and character. After the application FIA started acting and summoned different actors from Lahore and Karachi to record statements.
Various actors, who are involved in the incident in any way had recorded their statements before FIA cyber crime wing. However, now Meesha Shafi has been summoned to record her statement.

Hence, Meesha Shafi had already recorded her statement once with her lawyer to the investigation team of FIA cybercrime wing.
Earlier, in her statement before additional sessions judge, she said that she was harassed on multiple occasions by the singer. Meesha said that she visited the father in law of the male singer with her husband where she was groped inside the house while her husband was outside with friends.
“I was scared and confused. I did not want any fight,” she said, adding further that her husband was a trained boxer. She also submitted a copy of tweets through which she reported the incident.
