Various sources recently claimed that Faisal Sattar has now joined Mobilink, now called ‘Jazz’. A spokesperson from Mobilink informed NetMag that news about the appointment was indeed legitimate, and also said that Faisal’s notification has been issued by the company.
Faisal is not new to working at Mobilink, as he has previously been employed at Mobilink, and was recently the CEO of Universal Service Fund, where he supervised and was responsible for many projects related to rural telephony, and broadband development.
As it seems, Mobilink has made a wise decision in appointing Mr. Faisal, who is a graduate of the well recognized Cornell University. He brings with himself 20 years of global experience in strategic planning, business development, project management, and an in-depth knowledge of Network Planning, Rollout and operations.
He has also worked in Wateen, as the chief technology officer and Alcatel-Lucent as Managed Services Transition Lead Middle East & Africa, and has also served at Worldcall telecom as general manager of the strategic business unit.
