There have been reports that the CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg has plans to integrate the three messaging platforms possessed by Facebook into one – namely : Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, as well as Instagram’s messaging app. While WhatsApp’s messaging platform has the credibility to be one of the most secured messaging platforms amongst the whole lot, the same can’t be said about the Facebook Messenger, or indeed Instagram. Hence, there is indeed a change that such a move might go on to weaken the WhatsApp End-to-end Encryption.

As of now, all WhatsApp chats are end-to-end, and have the luxury of encryption by default. However, the same can’t be said about Instagram – as it does not offer any form of end-to-end encryption for its chats.
These are of course still approximations, so we’ll have to see exactly what happens in the future. We’ll have to wait and see whether such an integration will have a positive impact, or indeed turns out to be a massive disaster.

Just recently, WhatsApp had gone on to introduce a new feature for Android. WhatsApp for Android has gone on to receive a new beta version – v2.19.21. This latest update has brought along with it some significant changes, and amongst these is the fact that it brings about 21 new emoji designs for the Android users.
