The expected first POCOPHONE “Beryllium” is expected to be headed in India. The smartphone code named “Beryllium” by Xiaomi is believed to be available in India as per the information based on firmware files obtained by @FunkyHuawei who has shared the files exclusively with XDA-Developers.
Before diving into any details, it is worth mentioning that the firmware files were obtained back in March so it’s possible some of the specs may have changed since then such as the battery capacity. So it is not sure if the specifications are up-to-date but it could be verified that the device is still in development. However, since an up-to-date MIUI 10 Global Beta (v8.7.6) does exist for the device.
The Rumored Specifications of “Beryllium”
Here are some of the specifications found from the firmware files:
CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with Adreno 630 GPU
Display: LCD with notch. 18:9 aspect ratio
Storage: No SD card slot
Battery: 4,000 mAh
Software: Android 8.1 Oreo
Fingerprint: Yes, but not in-display
Camera: Dual cameras, Optical zoom support
NFC: Yes

Though we aren’t entirely sure what the device will be called, Xiaomi has recently trademarked a mysterious new phone brand called “POCOPHONE” and this smartphone is expected to be one of the first devices under that brand. The first smartphone under that brand recently appeared on the FCC’s site via SlashLeaks.
The interesting thing of worth mentioning is the “E10” in the model name. Typically, the last few of the characters (with exclusion of the very last one) in the model name correspond to a set of variables that Xiaomi does define in the MIUI Camera app. Not every smartphone or device shows up on this list of variables, but we have found that the variables (like IS_E10) and the last few characters in the model name (“E10A”) do typically correlate.
While we do not have any definitive evidence, it is possible this flagship Xiaomi smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 may be the first “POCOPHONE.” What is your opinion about that? Tell us below in comments session.
