March 23, or Pakistan Day for Pakistanis, was a good day in terms of politics as well since PM Khan received a greetings message from PM Modi. PM Khan took to twitter to express how good he felt after receiving the message as it was a sign for future harmony and alliance between the two companies. The tweet was as follows:
‘Received message from PM Modi: “I extend my greetings & best wishes to the people of Pakistan on the National Day of Pakistan. It is time that ppl of Sub-continent work together for a democratic, peaceful, progressive & prosperous region, in an atmosphere free of terror and violence.”He said “As we celebrate Pakistan Day I believe it is time to begin a comprehensive dialogue with India to address and resolve all issues, especially the central issue of Kashmir, and forge a new relationship based on peace and prosperity for all our people.”

This was a reply to the message sent by PM Modi:
“It is time that people of Sub-continent work together for a democratic, peaceful, progressive & prosperous region, in an atmosphere free of terror and violence.”
This would be a sign of hope as both move towards a more peaceful dialog to settle disputes rather than relying on military warfare. It all started on February 14 when a Kashmiri extremist group blew up an Indian van of soldiers because of the atrocities on Kashmiri people by India. This led to a huge threat of war between the neighbours and since both were nuclear-power baring countries and the situation was very volatile. However, the role that PM Khan played in calming down the situation cannot be overlooked as he continued to remain calm and show composure in the situation.
