The Despacito song with 5 billion views on YouTube has been removed by hackers with a number of other high profile YouTube music videos posted by Vevo. The hit song of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee was most viewed music video on YouTube.
Instead of original video cover image, Hackers put their own cover image which was showing a group wearing masks and pointing guns, as reported by BBC.
Apart from the blockbuster music video, dozens of other artists’ songs including Chris Brown, Shakira, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Drake and Taylor Swift are apparently also affected.
Well, all of the affected music videos were uploaded to the artist’s Vevo YouTube accounts. Now, the mystery is whether the hackers got access to individual accounts or they exploit with Vevo accounts at larger scale.
On the other hand, actual videos remain unchanged. But, the title of many videos had been misused to include the name of hackers and a few of them had the replaced cover image.

The story turned out into a twist when a Twitter account that seems to belong to one of the hackers posted: it says,
“It’s just for fun, I just use [the] script ‘youtube-change-title-video’ and I write ‘hacked’.”
“Don’t judge me I love YouTube,” it added.
While a spokeswoman for YouTube speck about the issue and said,
“After seeing unusual upload activity on a handful of Vevo channels, we worked quickly with our partner to disable access while they investigate the issue”
On the other hand, Vevo declared his point of view and added,
“We are working to reinstate all videos affected and our catalogue to be restored to full working order. We are continuing to investigate the source of the breach.”
However, the song is still available at the YouTube channel, but the point is original one with more than 5 billion views posted by Vevo has been hacked and removed.
