Google has been under a lot of scrutiny when it comes to the design of their smartphones. Lets first take a trip down memory lane to the good ol’ days when Google restricted itself to the software side of things and collaborated with other smartphone companies to produce exciting and more often than not extremely gorgeous phones. The nexus phones of the early years were a thing of pure beauty, the glass designs gave it a luxurious appeal. LG and Huawei did amazing jobs at making the phones as beautiful as possible. However, then one day, all of a sudden, Google decides that it is big enough that it does not need to rely on any other company for its success, and so it starts to produce its own hardware, along with the captivating software. And that is when everything started to go downhill…

The introduction of Google’s very own pixel phones meant that the nexus would soon cease to exits and so it did, leaving all the pressure on Google to follow in the footsteps of some greatly successful phones. Luckily for Google, everything that it touches turns to gold. The original pixel wasn’t that much of a looker, but the software held its own against the rivals. The camera improvements that Google brought in with its software optimizations were just incomparable, and so we have a new camera king in town. The following years, the focus became more and more centered towards the software that it felt like Google had just forgotten to give the hardware a much needed refreshment.
However, all that wait might be for the good with the latest design confirmations by Google, apparently. Google posted a picture on twitter stating:

The picture that Google showed off was of the rear of the device confirming a multiple camera setup for the first time in a pixel smartphone, and with the absence of a fingerprint at the back, an in display would be most likely. Gearing up to the next big thing, in this case the Pixel 4 seems to be a pretty exciting prospect, isn’t it?
