Renowned Qawal and Sufi Singer Amjad Sabri was Shot down yesterday by 2 unknown motorcycle riders near liaquatabad.
Amjad Sabri, was travelling from his home to a television studio to attend an iftar transmission, when a motorcycle pulled up alongside his car and the two riders opened fire, according to police. According to Dr. Rohnia Hassan Assistant Police Surgeon, Amjad Sabri was shot thrice, at face, head and chest. However the relatives of Am jad Sabri did not allowed to perform postmortem of his body. The motorcycle riders have used 30 bore pistol in this attack which is quite unusual as in most of the past killings at Karachi 9mm Pistol have been used.
The legendary qawwal singer has been buried beside his father and uncle‘s graves in Paposh Nagar graveyard.
