Pixel smartphones are getting the latest feature which will allow the users to make use of the Google assistant in order to check exactly who is calling, and is exactly what is the reason behind their call. You will have the opportunity to make this activity, with new Google’s call screen feature.

Google made the proceedings official, by stating :
“Call screen is only available to English speakers in the United States who have Pixel 2, 2 XL, 3, or 3XL devices. If you don’t see call screen in the phone app’s settings, it’s not available yet”.

This new feature is without doubt very handy, and can also be time-saving, as now, the users might be able to save time, whereas in other situations, they would’ve picked up call from unknown numbers and wasted their time when the call was not for them, or perhaps a wrong number was dialed. This particular feature does not require an internet connection, so you wouldn’t have to worry too much incase you don’t have Wi-Fi, or mobile data. Like expected really, the feature does not support third-party call recording and screen recording apps – with the reasoning being that such apps might, and probably will interfere with the function of the feature that has been provided by Google.
A brand new transcripts option has already been subject to roll out by Google, as the company looks to have set its eyes over for the betterment of the Call Screen, however, just yet, it is unknown as to how widely call screen transcripts have been rolled out. Also, not to forget, as soon as the call would end, the transcript would disappear.
