Both Samsung and Huawei had put a lot of time and effort into the foldable phone that they unveiled just a few days ago,since both the companies firmly believe that foldable devices represent the future of mobile technology. Amongst the main reasons as to why the foldable phones have gained popularity in recent times is probably down to the fact that most people are in constant hunt of bigger displays, as so a smartphone which can transform right into a tablet is great news. However, while this may be good news for many, the CEO of blackberry does not think so. John Chen, the CEO of blackberry holds the opinion that not only do these devices carry huge price tags, but they are also too bulky.

The CEO also wouldn’t allow for anyone outside of lab testing at Blackberry to actually purchase the foldable phone, while according to his statements, there are also no breakthroughs to look forward go after fingerprint readers, facial recognition and Iris scanners. Whether more people tend to agree with the CEO – only time will tell, after all, we can’t really judge considering the fact that the foldable phones are still not on the shelves.
