Smart Displays have slowly become a must have for your living room to have yourself a voice assistant that does more than a few tricks all the while adding to the classiness of your space. In the past few years, many have questioned the application of such devices, however no convincing answer has been put forward except for the fact that people have started adding it to their living room for a better overall experience. - ECHO SHOW 8:
8-inch touchscreen, two powerful speakers and a built in camera with a privacy shutter, is mostly checking all the boxes when it comes to buying smart speakers. The added functionality by Alexa makes for a wholesome device. Alexa has really upped the ante and made for good competition with Google Assistant all the while Siri went into hibernation. The screen is just big enough for your daily viewing and not big to get bulky and difficult to fit in a living room. The Show 8 can play audio and music from a variety of sources, including Spotify, Audible, Pocket Casts, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Sirius XM.
- GOOGLE NEST HUB:
Google has been making itself quite active in the smart speaker market and with Google Assistant adding to the functionality of the device, this is a device which reaches new levels. This comes at a smaller 7 inch display but fits more comfortably in a nightstand. The downsides come in the shape of the lack of a camera which minuses the video calling and the speaker quality is mediocre at best which isn’t a good sign for a smart hub. Regardless, the display is to die for and the Google Photos app does justice to it!
