Do remember the BBC’s incredibly-gripping show “Planet Earth” about the natural world that was reinvigorated as “Planet Earth II “. The show represented the natural world in an even better way than Planet Earth. This time the original Blue Planet that won multiple Emmy awards after its release in 2001 has been rearranged as “Blue Planet II”.

I am confident to say that the Blue Planet II that is starting with a collaboration between Radiohead and Hans Zimmer, will try to up the ante.
BBC is soon to release a surprisingly reinvigorated version of the classic nature series Blue Planet in early 2018. The new version is being called Planet Earth: Blue Planet II.
A Rock music band Radiohead and Composer Hans Zimmer collaborated to create an exclusive track for the series.
And you will watch very soon a rearranged version of Radiohead’s 2011 track, “(Ocean) Bloom” that fits the slow, majestic footage very perfectly with a lush orchestration.
“(Ocean) Bloom” will be the opening music for the /Blue Planet II”.
The track is an orchestral reworking of King of Limbs album.
BBC just dropped our jaws when we heard that Hans Zimmer one of the world’s top movie and TV composers collaborates with a rock band to produce an exclusive track for BBC America’s forthcoming natural history series Planet Earth: Blue Planet II to be released in early 2018.
In another video, Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, and Zimmer share the collaboration saying that it is something seeped into my subconscious.
While talking about the Radiohead’s 2011 album King of Limbs he says that he had been dreaming of such creatures quite a lot.
BBC reported,
“Radiohead and Hans Zimmer’s orchestrally reimagined version of the Radiohead song ‘(ocean) bloom’ from their 2011 album sees Radiohead’s Thom Yorke rerecord the vocals and produced by Russell Emanuel of Bleeding Fingers Music, the company which also crafted the BAFTA & Emmy-nominated score to BBC America’s Planet Earth II”.
Thom Yorke of Radiohead tells us that Bloom was actually inspired by the original Blue Planet series. And thus it becomes really great to work on it and make it the part of Blue Planet II.
Hans, a prodigious composer effortlessly straddles several musical genres. To work with such a talent and see that how he wove the sound of the series’ and Bloom together is somewhat liberating.
Zimmer is working with Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood and takes the collaboration as a wonderful diversion.
Zimmer states that he was trying to return respect retaliating the respect that he received when he was entrusted with the responsibility of someone else’s work.
At the occasion of announcement of the collaboration this earlier month Composer opined,
“Bloom appears to have been written ahead of its time as it beautifully reflects the jaw-dropping lifeforms and seascapes viewers are introduced to in Blue Planet II”.
He also claims that working with Thom, Jonny and the boys was a great and incredible experience for him and he was given an interesting peek into their musical world.
Zimmer was recently invited to compose music for the forthcoming sci-fi sequel “Blade Runner 2049”, the project was first handed over to Jóhann Jóhannsson.
