Areej Iqbal Qureshi, one of the four emerging designers who exhibited their collections at the opening of Fashion Pakistan Week 2017, was declared the winner of the Bank Alfalah Rising Talent award at the closing of the event today. AreejFree from Pakistan Institute of Fashion & Design received the Rising Talent Award and a cheque of Rs. 500,000 from Aly Mustansir, Chief Marketing Officer at Bank Alfalah. Through the award, the Bank provides a prestigious platform for young designers to showcase their talent and transform their ambitions into success.
The winner of the Bank Alfalah Rising Talent Award was shortlisted through transparent voting of jurors as well as the general public. The other three contestants who got the opportunity to showcase their designs for the first time ever at one of Pakistan’s biggest fashion events included Zafar Ahsan Naqvi from Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Tooba Chottani from Asian Institute of Fashion Design, and Fatima Abdul Rauf from Pakistan Institute of Fashion & Design.
