You can now simply apply for passport online, but it has to be a machine readable one. Without any hassle, this provides a great way for Pakistani citizens around the world to renew their passport, through e-services portal.
Through e-services portal, you can simply apply for the renewal of your machine readable passport, but the conditions that apply are that your passport has actually expired OR its validity is less than 7 months. Before applying, you must ensure that you have the following documents ready:
1- Supporting documents
2- Photograph up to 5MB captured as explained in the Photograph Tutorial.
3- Fingerprint form, filled as explained in the Fingerprint Tutorial.
4- Valid Credit Card/Debit Card for online payment of your application fee.
With these things provided, you are now ready to apply online! First of all, click on the ‘get started‘ button. Then you have to register your account, and in the case where you are in Pakistan, then you an SMS code and email will be sent to you from the registration, and in the case of you being abroad, then all the required codes will be sent through email only. One thing to note is that if you are already in the Pak-identity system, then you can simply log in with your registered Pak-identity username and password.
After registering, create an application for the renewal. After this, you just have to simply provide your address for machine readable passport delivery, and pay the fee through credit/debit card. One thing to note here is that there is a no refund policy.
