Apple has announced a range of measures to “regain the trust” of customers who have experienced slowing down batteries of some ageing iPhone models.

Though the company admitted slowing some phones with ageing batteries, said it was to ‘prolong the life’ of the devices.
Apple posted a statement on its website reading that company would reduce the price of an out-of-warranty battery replacement from $79 ( £58 ) to $29 ( £21) for anyone having an iPhone 6 or later.

The company says Lithium-ion batteries become less capable of supplying peak current demands when used in cold conditions, and when they have a low battery charge or they age over time. It can result in the device unexpectedly shutting down to protect its electronic components.
