Apple Where the IPHONES and IPAD reached staggering numbers of sales and were the main source of company’s revenue, one product that got lost in the wind was the IPOD. A device which brought the entire smartphone package in a smaller form factor and enabled one to do anything that one wants apart from calls, however, Apple later introduced 4G versions of the IPOD as well, which begged the question why would people prefer an IPOD over an IPHONE. Seems like Apple was asking itself the same question and they might have come up with an answer to opt for an IPOD with the 2019 series, which is a refreshment of the IPOD series after almost 4 years.
“We’re making the most affordable iOS device even better with performance that is twice as fast as before, Group FaceTime and augmented reality starting at just $199,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of Product Marketing. “The ultra-thin and lightweight design of iPod touch has always made it ideal for enjoying games, music and so much more wherever you go.”

The new device brings back an old friend, updated to perform modern day tasks like augmented reality and Group FaceTime. The A-10 chip was introduced quite a few years ago and there might be a possibility of Apple underpowering their new IPOD but the Apple Ios requires very little processing power and thus such selections could cut down the cost of the device and the latest fusion chip could be a worthy upgrade to make the IPOD a viable option.
Pricing starts at $299 for the base model with 32GB internal storage, 299$ for the 128GB and $399 for a new version with 256GB to store all the games and songs for your IPOD, because since you aren’t calling anyone with it, that’s the only things you would be doing on it.
