Apple is expecting huge things for its upcoming new iPhones and I’m not just talking about this because of the fact that amongst these would consist of extra spacious screen size of Apple’s largest OLED handset.
Various new reports have surfaced which have stated that Apple is planning to ship around 70 to 75 million of its new iPhones by the end of this year. The reports with regards to this have been actually quite reliable enough and at the end of the day if this does indeed turn out to be true then this would be the biggest iPhone launch since 2014, when iPhone 6 Series was launched.
It has been widely reported that Apple is planning to launch three iPhone handsets this year and these are to include two OLED handsets which would consist of a 5.8 inch one and a 6.5 inch one, while there are also various reports, almost confirmation up until this point that the other iPhone is set to consist of a 6.1 inch screen, and would have an LCD, rather than an OLED display.
Amongst these three handsets I am particularly excited about the LCD handset as it might be the one with the big drivers in terms of updates. This is because it will probably include the design and functionality of last year’s iPhone X, while the price tag is not expected to be as high as the other high end models.

While Apple hasn’t as of yet announced a 2018 iPhone event, it is actually expected that the event will be held on the 12th of September, at the Steve Jobs theater.
This isn’t of course the first time that we have heard that Apple is expecting big things of its coming handsets. Reports from the past have stated that manufacturers that are directly linked to Apple who are actually involved in the creation of iPhones are ramping up the workforce to accommodate the new orders which are expected and are even offering incentives to help with the recruitment drive.
Another reason why I might think that Apple would actually be successful with its handsets this year is because of the fact that there are now various $1000 handsets which are available on the market, and since this is sort of becoming more of a trend, people wouldn’t actually mind in the future to splash such a substantial amount of money on a smartphone. Because at the end of the day if you’re going to spend a thousand dollars on a phone, why not that be an iPhone?
Of course whether or not the iPhones will be successful remains to be seen.Though we will have a good idea by the end of this year.
