In what has been a rollercoaster of a ride for Andy Rubin with regards to its Essential phone, it has finally been confirmed that the phone will indeed ship within the next 7 days. This news can be confirmed due to the sheer nature of what the company has been doing over the past few days. The company, over the past couple of days, has been emailing customers that the phone will be ready to ship within the next 7 days or so.
Interested parties can buy the phone for a hefty price tag of $699.99 from Essential.com. The phone will also be available on Amazon.com and Best Buy, however, it is important to note that if you are in a hurry, it would be advisable to buy the phone directly from Essential.com, as the phone will be made available on both Amazon and Best Buy at later dates. If you don’t exactly have the money upfront, then the option for Affirm also exists – coming in at $29.13 for 24 months. Device shipping would be free and should take around two to three days, once it officially begins the shipping process, within the next week.
If you’ve got also reserved the Essential Camera 360 then you should expect to get a separate email with regards to its availability as to when exactly it is ready to begin the shipping out process, however, unfortunately, for now, we do not know exactly when this will happen.
As mentioned previously, the company has endured a rocky time over the course of the past few months, as the Essential phone missed it release time frame – the one which was originally proposed. However, much to the company’s credit, this hasn’t stopped it from receiving a valuation of a reported $1.2 Billion. Now the time has finally here for the Essential phone, and whether or not it will be a success – only time will tell.
