The beta version of Google’s latest software, the Android 9 Pie has been available for quite the while now, however, now it seems that the company is taking things to the next level as it is finally ready to launch the finished product of Google’s latest software, not just the beta version.
A press release was recently sent out by the PR agency based in Germany, and now the firm is finally rolling out the Android Pie to the OnePlus 6. There is a list of a few features which got enabled by the update, as noted by the agency, and these features include the likes of gesture navigation, an upgraded “do not disturb” mode which now occurs with customizable settings, and also a new feature with regards to the gaming mode – the “gaming mode 3.0.”
Though these are the things now known, theagency hasn’t any further clarified on any other release details, such as the likes of countries receiving the update and associated timelines. And another thing to note is the fact that we haven’t actually seen any confirmation from OnePlus coming on social media either, so it is possible that this could be a German rollout only.

It’s either this or either that someone else has jumped the gum on the press release. German tech media has picked up the news, but as of yet there isn’t any evidence surfacing that suggests the users have actually received the update.
Nonetheless, the Oneplus won’t actually be the only Oneplus device to receive the Android Pie update. It was previously confirmed by the manufacturer that the update is also on its way on the Oneplus 5T, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 3T, and also the OnePlus 3.
And it’s also true that OnePlus isn’t the first or the only OEM to deliver the update either. The essential phone that we saw last year too received the pie update, and this update was brought on for the phone on the day that Android Pie was actually launched. Not only this, but like expected, the update has made its way to Google’s phone, on both the Google Pixel and the Google Pixel 2.
Many experts have contacted OnePlus for better clarification on the situation, and it won’t be long before we see what the situation is exactly about. So I guess at this time, we’ll just have to wait and see.
