Bollywood’s Mr perfect Amir Khan has recently announced through CNN News 18 that he is not coming to Pakistan because Mr Tsunami has not invited him on his oath-taking. The news would definitely disheart millions of Amir Khan’s fans in Pakistan but sending no invitation by Imran Khan is the decision in favour of the public at last, as Imran Khan seems to be saving resources for the public by his act of taking oath with no external invites.
A few days ago we find twitter posts brimmed with warm welcome for Amir Khan to visit Pakistan and people were also confident to see him here in the country because they were that Amir will keep his words. According to the earlier reports Imran Khan wants Bollywood star Aamir Khan and former Indian cricketers Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev and Navjot Singh Sidhu to attend his oath-taking ceremony in Islamabad on August 11.
On the other side Sidhu had also expressed his willingness to travel to Pakistan to attend the oath-taking of the former cricket hero and Primier-to-be.
Some other reports have also brought it to notice that PTI’s Shireen Mazari and Shafqat Mahmood also met Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua & sought her suggestion about inviting SAARC leaders to Khan’s inauguration.
The PTI leaders wanted to be aware of the foreign dignitaries willing to attend the ceremony before finalizing any name to avoid an embarrassing situation.
But at the end we came to know through a tweet from Dr. Shireen Mazari that decision of sending no invitations to people across the borders is made to have a simple oath-taking ceremony in the country.
