When Amazon introduced Kindle the first time, people found a real alternative to books with a device that was specifically made for that sort of users in mind who like to read on the go and rather than having multiple books to add to the luggage they would prefer to have a digital shelf which would carry all their favourite titles and all they had to carry was a tablet. Other than that, there is not a lot an Amazon Kindle owner can do with the kindles coming with Amazon’s own OS, the FIRE OS which isn’t exactly that robust or feature-packed as android.
The new tablet that Amazon introduced a couple days ago isn’t any different apart from a few key changes, that too focused on the display for… you guessed it, reading purposes. The light emitted from the screen of your device has different affects at different times of the day. The usual colors of the display when viewed in direct sunlight or at home during a day wont pose a problem at all. However, at night those same colors would be blinding and can cause major eye strains for people who use devices at night before sleeping, and since the Kindle is directed towards people with reading habits, majority of whom have a hobby of reading before going to sleep, something had to be done to deal with that display. So that’s exactly and the only change that Amazon made which was to make the temperature of the display adjustable. The user can now specify how warm or cold the color should be on their new Kindle Oasis, which is in its third generation.

The rest, remains the same, with a 1680×1264 resolution display, 8 or 32GB storage, an IPX8 rating for water, optional 4G LTE and micros-USB instead of USB type C. The starting model would go on sale for 249.99$ and the LTE one would be available for 369$. At these prices, having a book reader is quite the peculiar choice but we have it and some people would still be buying it, probably out of loyalty.
