Alibaba CEO Jack Ma challenges Mark Zuckerberg to fix the issue. The famous Chinese billionaire and co-founder of e-commerce giant Alibaba, Jack Ma has openly challenged Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg to handle the growing criticism aimed at company by regulators and users around the globe, and to “really take it seriously.”
When Jack Ma was asked at the Boao Forum about the Facebook tumult, the chairman of Alibaba Group advice his fellow internet pioneer to “fix” the social network that had grown vastly over the period of time particularly the past decade.
In the start of the conversation, the billionaire try to dismiss the questions but then couldn’t stop to open up about the crisis that Facebook is currently facing around the world.
At the annual conference on the sunny island of Hainan, Jack Ma declared his point of view in these words,
“The senior management should take responsibility, say, hey, from now we start to work on it, it is the time to fix it. It is the time for the CEO to really take it seriously. I think the problems will be solved. We should not kill the company because of these problems. I will say, Facebook 15 years ago, they never expected this, to grow like that. All the problems they could not realize came up.”

However, Jack Ma didn’t mock the platform for this huge mistake, but he did say the social network was valuable. It seems that Jack Ma didn’t consider it valuable.
According to Jack Ma, Facebook may have indulged in these issues simply because of its extraordinary exponential growth.
On the other hand, Facebook’s shares have been decreasing since the social media platform has admitted that it may have shared the personal details of 87 million users with, a research firm Cambridge Analytica that latterly helped elect President Donald Trump in American elections.
From that day, several campaigns have also been launched in opposition to the company including #DeleteFacebook campaign.
In this regard, Mark Zuckerberg is scheduled to appear before the U.S. Congress this week. It is expected that the CEO plans to declare that the company’s problems are his mistake. At this point, it seems a good justification against his case.
According to his statements, he plans to say that the social-media platform didn’t do enough to handle and avoid its tools from being used for harm, particularly hate speech, foreign meddling in elections, like fake news, developer policies and data privacy.
