So Lady health workers (LHWs) have called of their protest demonstration which was scheduled to be held on the October 7, at the Sindh chief minister House,following a breakthrough and successful negotiations with Hyderabad Commissioner Muhammad Abbad Baloch, the protest has officially been called off and it seems to make both parties seemingly happy. Furthermore, the All Pakistan Lady Health Workers Programme Chairperson Bushra Ansari spoke with the media and in the meeting with the commissioner, they raised two points over which they blocked Hyderabad Bypass by staging a sit-in on the day of Friday.

She stated that on one of their contention regarding the forceful takeover of their office located in Sir CJ Cowasjee Psychiatric Hospital located in the area of Hussainabad, the commissioner had assured that no action would be taken temporarily.The commissioner further informed that it was necessary that the action of vacating the bungalow, which was earlier allotted to the hospital’s medical superintendent, was taken on the order given by the, Sindh High Court.
The All Pakistani Lade Health Workers Prohramme’s chairperson,Bushra Ansari further stated that “it was requested that the commissioner to give us enough time to become a party in the case so that we can plead to the SHC,” On their second demand against Project Director Zulfiqar Dharejo of Sindh Health Department, she said the commissioner had assured them that Dharejo would be transferred.She alleged that Dharejo was involved in the act of corruption to which the commissioner replied that necessary action will be taken against those involved.
