A phone from Xiaomi – coming with the model number M1906GT was recently subject to certification by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Other than the model number of the phone, nothing is yet known – however, there is present quite a bit of speculation as to which device it might turn out to be.
The speculation consists of some saying that this might actually be the Helio G90T device that Xiaomi/Redmi said it will launch soon. Lu Weibing – who happens to be the head of Redmi, was actually present at the launch of the Helio G90 series and he went on to reveal that the company will indeed launch a phone powered by the chipset. He also further added that the device will be available on a more global scale – not just in China.

Xiaomi India also got into the action by tweeting that it will launch a device which will be powered by the Helio G90T processor. It is all but possible that this device is actually the same as the Helio G90T-powered Redmi phone. The announcement said that the device is coming soon – with most of the speculation saying that it will actually launch this month.
Moreover, other than the Helio G90T phone, Redmi also stated recently that it will launch a phone with a 64MP camera. The speculation says that the company will actually launch the phone this month, and so it seems likely that Redmi will be the first in a long list of potential manufactures to launch a device featuring with such a powerful camera. Interestingly enough, seeing as that has a more definite time-frame albeit confirmed, the Xiaomi M1906GT is most likely the Redmi phone that will feature with a 64MP camera.
Except for the 64MP sensor, we also know that the phone will come with quad rear cameras – however, that’s as far as the road goes for the things we know concerning the device. As far as it’s display size and the type, its processor and indeed its battery capacity goes – we’re all but in the dark. Though when you consider the fact that if it is the device that got certified, then we should be getting in more details in the coming days – either on official terms, or perhaps from more speculation.
