The Pocophone F1 made all the headlines last year, and the phone did so for all the right reasons. It was the cheapest phone in 2018 to have the flagship-esque Snapdragon 845 chipset, along with some high level specs – all for only $300. And now, there is even more good news for users of the device, as it seems to be getting even better, courtesy of a stable MIUI update which is now rolling out.
The general manager of Poco India – Manmohan Chandolu had announced the news of the update’s availability via Twitter, and along this, he gave some details as to what we can expect from the update.

The new update brings the Widevine L1 DRM, new AI camera modes, Game Turbo (Xiaomi’s very own take on GPU Turbo), as well as 4K/60fps video recording. The news over 4K/60plfps recording is actually quite surprising, since we rarely see 4K/60fps recording come via an update.
The stable update for the phone also has the inclusion of face unlock support in the app lock feature, with this including the likes of general face unlock optimizations. And last but not least, the phone also brings about the latest March 2019 security patch.
The update is a hefty one – coming in at 515MB, so make sure that you are on Wi-Fi when downloading.
