Chance to win $50,000 with Xiaomi Photography Challenge

There is good news for all who have a great passion for photography as just like every year Xiaomi is bringing its annual Photography Challenge. So, if you want to win exciting prizes worth USD 50,000, bring your photography skills on the table.

All you need to do is snap and edit photos using a Xiaomi mobile device and upload it. But, the photo must be taken or edit through Xiaomi mobile otherwise the photos won’t qualify.

You will get a category selection like in which category you want to submit to submit your photo.

There are four categories:

Natural look (this category will includes People, Selfies, and Portraits)
Piece of the world (in this category you can shoot Nature, Cities, Still Life, and Travel.
Dreamscape (this category is all about Night scenes, Low-light Photos, and Shadows.
Why so serious (participants of this category can submit photos that are related to Lifestyle, Humor, and New Perspectives)

Event Details

You have got time till November 22, 2018. So, what you’re waiting for? Start uploading photos to Xiaomi’s website as the upload stage will end on November 22.
The event has been started from October 25 so now you can upload photos to the event’s official page.
The last date to submit your entries is November 22, 2018.
In the process of registering an account and selecting your desired category, page will guide you.
You will have to provide your contact details and other information while creating account.
If your photo gets “3 likes” or more, it’ll get qualified for the next stages in the competition.
The Evaluation Stage will begin on November 26 in which photography professionals will evaluate qualifying photos to short list 100 finalists, taking 25 people from each category.
And finally, at the end the Voting Stage will start on November 27, where users will be able to vote for the best photographs taken by the 100 finalists.

Detail of Requirements

You must have to take your photos using a Xiaomi smartphone although it could be any model.
It is important to mention here that if you plan on editing your photo then it also must be done on your Xiaomi phone’s built-in photo editor. You are not allowed to edit your photos through any third-party app or platform.
You have to give EXIF information with each photo.
Size of each photo should be between 300KB and 10MB.
A single participant can upload maximum of 6 photographs
Photos sent using unofficial means or after 25th of November will not be considered.
If luckily your photo gets qualified for the final top 100 list then you have to provide proof of purchasing your Xiaomi phone through which you have taken the pictures.
Although there’s no registration fee to take part in the event, but you are required to agree with the event’s terms and conditions.

Grand Prizes

There are three positions in every category. The judges will pick one participant, out of a total of 25 in each category to award a USD 10,000 1^st prize.

Then for second position holder of each category will get a prize of USD 2,000. Lastly, third position holders will get a USD 500 prize, after getting voted and selected by the event’s judges.
