The Oppo R9S was released last year, meant to be the successor to the highly successful Oppo R9. The Oppo R9 was extremely successful, so it was no easy job for the Oppo R9S to be a worthy successor to the R9. The numbers, however, proved that it was a more than worthy successor to the R9. From the get go, the Oppo R9S has made records in terms of sales, but unexpectedly Oppo R11 has broken them. The R9s was released in January of this year, and Oppo claimed that it had sold more than 3 million units of the phone, that two in China alone, just two months after the initial release. And if you think that the numbers are impressive, consider the fact that the phone was crowned by Sino research as the top selling smartphone by a Chinese manufacturer.
Now, you must be very impressed by what the R9s had done considering the astronomical amounts of units it had sold all over the world. But doing even better is the Oppo R11. The R11 was released just today, via JD.com, and it seems that it is already looking likely to pose a better than its predecessor, the R9s. It took just 5 minutes after its initial release for the Oppo R11 to make a record as the top-selling device on its first sale. The R11’s sales were also helped as Oppo made enough stocks available, ahead of the sales. JD.com noted that it took the R11 just 40 minutes to beat the whole day’s sales of the R9s.
As of now, the Oppo R11 is available only on online stores, but as time progresses, it will obviously be available in the offline stores. If the initial numbers are anything to go by, then it would not be wrong to say that the R11 will make all sorts of records, concerning sales.
