It has now been confirmed that the OnePlus buds will indeed be making their way into the market along with the OnePlus Nord – with the event set to take place on the 21st of July. And now, the CEO of the Chinese company in Pete Lau recently went on to share a post on the company’s Forum site which went on to reveal more details with regards to the earbuds.
The post, in particular, goes on to highlight the design that the buds seem to have employed. The top executive within OnePlus proceeded on to say that the company designed the earbuds to be “more than comfortable for long wear.” The buds have a “half-in-ear design” so as to achieve this level of comfort.

Coming to the point of battery life – it is said that the buds will actually provide up to 7 hours of continuous use. This usage can also go up to 30 hours with the case – and so, they can in fact be charged more than three times before the need to recharge again presents itself.
Even with the impressive battery life, OnePlus hasn’t let the opportunity gone to boast about the “exceedingly light” buds. The buds weigh in at 4.6 grams each while the case goes on to weigh 36 grams in itself.
While the CEO of the company has gone on to say that the buds will be enabled so as to work with a wide range of devices, the OnePlus phones will actually be on the receiving end of deeper optimizations – one of which is to be ultra-low latency mode which is in fact quite similar to what wired headphones offer once you enter into gaming mode within your OnePlus device. All in all, the potential is certainly there.
