Samsung recently launched Note 9 after much hype as we have been waiting for quite a while. Well, apart from some hardware upgrades and battery it features almost the same design as last year. However, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is finally here and there are 3 things which I don’t like about it.
The Note 9 doesn’t come in black
Yes, you read it right. Shockingly this time Note 9 didn’t come in black color. And for many people including me, it is a bit of disappointing news. I mean black is universal color and it has been seen that most of the time people preferred black color handset over other colors.
Still running on Oreo instead of Pie
Well, that was the second biggest surprise Samsung had for me because Note 9 still running an OS based on Oreo, which is technically outdated now that Pie has arrived. I mean, if users are paying a huge amount then they should get updated features.
Price is too high relative to features
It comes under the price tag of $1,000 for the 128GB base model and an eye-popping $1,250 for the 512GB version. If we draw a price comparison then it’s $100 more than the iPhone X (which has just 256GB of storage) for those keeping score.
Definitely, Apple was the first to sell a four-figure phone, but the iPhone X demonstrates a dramatic change for the iPhone with innovative tech and a radical design.
The point is this new handset doesn’t really bring any truly radical features or innovations like prior Galaxy phones. However, if you’re a true Note fan then Note 9 achieved more than enough upgrade ticks.
So, Samsung’s Note 9 sets another price point for the Android world. On the other hand, it’s basically a Note 8 with Galaxy S9+ specs and a more logical fingerprint sensor placement.
Let’s see to what extent it will be successful in terms of sales and value, but we can’t ignore the fact that Notes are no longer as interesting as they used to be. Nowadays, cell phones with large displays and amazing battery timing are serving the same for users.
