3 gadgets should disappear in 2018. Every year we witness the debut of lots of gadgets and with so many gadgets launched in the market, it’s hard to make a choice for consumers. Many of us end up deliberating on the feasibility of the product based on our personal preferences.
On the other hand, it’s also a challenge for tech companies to produce best-selling gadgets. Possibilities are always there as a new device may not catch up with the consumer’s vision. Hence, every year few gadgets disappear or die a slow death for the reason of the inability to meet consumer’s expectations.
According to some techies and entrepreneurs, these 3 gadgets should fade away from market this year.

“I would wish that the feature phones make way for smartphones across the length & breadth of the nation. Despite astronomical growth in the usage of the smartphones, it is surprising to see how many feature phone users still persist, particularly in the rural & the underprivileged sections of our society. The underprivileged sections of our society are in the most need of skilling and vocational education to improve their livelihood options. Smartphones offer a whole range of options for that”.
Smartphones are much advanced in terms of features, technology, and operating system as compared to feature phones. One thing that separates these two categories is the price tag.
“A number of organizations working towards skill development are increasingly relying on smartphone-based lesson imparting to minimize dependency on physical classes & qualified teachers. Clearly, Feature Phones were great to usher in the telecom revolution but must now make way for the smartphones,” he added.
External Hard Drives:
Nowadays, people prefer portability and flexibility. Moreover, they want access to their data from anywhere. In this regard, many people are switching to the option of cloud storage. It’s also far more convenient and handy option than carrying a hard drive everywhere.
According to Ambika Sharma, Founder & MD of Instappy, external hard drives will vanish because cloud and high-speed internet are easy to get and consistent. The cloud storage lets one to save files on any internet-connected device while an external hard drive might only backup data on the computer.
So, with the constant advent in technology, time is not so far when these 3 gadgets will despair from market and from the minds of consumers as well.
