As if dell laptops were not already attractive enough for customers to buy, they have further added an option, making their laptops even more attractive and price appropriate, with the addition of fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint reader option was first introduced when dell revealed the upgraded XPS 15 (9560), and at the time, people weren’t exactly sure how much the extra option would cost, with many expecting it to be expensive ; but as things have panned out, it is pretty cheap to add the sensor to the XPS 15, costing only a further 25 dollars.
The same basically goes for the XPS 13. It would only cost $25 to add a fingerprint reader to the new XPS 13 (9360), a laptop which only hit the market a few months ago.
The fingerprint reader is fully compatible with the windows hello on both the laptops, making it fast and easy to secure your device. The placing of the reader is also at a convenient position, below the arrow keys, quite reasonable and comfortable for everyday use.
The XPS 15 comes with the high-performance Intel Kaby Lake CPU and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics, along with the optional 4K display, going along with loads of storage and memory configurations. The XPS 13 comes with the U-series Kaby lake processor, and an optional 3200 x 1800 display.
